Case Studies

A website of a fictional restaurant that specializes in noodle dishes to “heal the body and the soul.” I created this site to try my hand at using VueJS and routing for the first time.

 

A website providing users with information that tracks the progress and changes in systems of support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Website providing educators the tools and guides they need to create their own Inclusion Day at their schools.

Job Roles

CapitalOne, Email Developer and senior web designer (Contract)

March 2021 - July 2023

Create acquisitional, transactional, and promotional emails following a brandstand standard design composition. Work with the Card Acquisitions, Loan Servicing, and Auto Refinancing teams.

Code emails using brand-standard and custom-made components. Complete peer code reviews and test email templates across several different clients and devices to check for errors or defects. Submit templates for QA Review before moving on to UAT.

CarMax, Email Developer and Digital Display Designer (Contract)

August 2019 - April 2020

Worked with the Collaborative Store Team and the DigitalCRM (Customer Relationship Management) Team using the Agile/Scrum SDLC methodologies to produce and release digital products for customers.

Created digital displays to inform customers of available store promotions, car buying options, and repair programs. Displays were created following a design comp created in Adobe Illustration with animations and transitions added using Google Web Designer.

Created promotional and transactional emails using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Emails were created following a design comp created in InVision and coded using pre-made and custom made email components. Used Litmus to test emails across several devices and email clients to check for and correct any defects before passing the email on to QA Review and UAT.

Website redesign and update completed in WordPress for the Richmond World Affairs Council.

Participated in client meetings to discuss updates of existing or site pages or applications, as well as the creation of new site pages or applications as needed. Sketched wireframes templates using for new website pages and web application layouts using printable web grid templates. Created high-fidelity prototypes of site pages and apps in Bootstrap v3.3.7 for customer demonstrations.
Updated approved layout changes for site pages in Statamic Content Management System (CMS) testing environment. Deployed final approved layout and template changes in Statamic CMS to live server.

Edited and updated the county website WordPress template using Bootstrap.
Assisted other county departments with updates or edits to their websites and applications.
